Parents of young children:
Did you know that St. Mark's School has extended service available for pre-school and pre-kindergarten students? Teachers will be available starting at 7:00 am for our Early Childhood Classes at no additional charge to the family.  It is no longer necessary to arrange early morning childcare or transportation to preschool for your child. St. Mark’s will provide the same caring, Christian environment beginning at 7:00 a.m.!

Pre-school and Pre-kindergarten Enrollment:
We are very excited about our new Early Childhood program!  Enrollment forms are in the office. Hurry to reserve your child’s spot!  The enrollment forms maybe found by clicking here.

Message from our Principal:
Welcome to St. Mark's Lutheran School.  We are glad you have taken time to learn more about our school.  At St. Mark's, our teachers and staff are "dedicated to equipping young minds for service to God, Family, and community through daily study of His word and academic excellence."
We work in partnership with our Church congregation to help all students learn about Jesus and grow daily in their faith and relationship with Him.  We also care about our families and communities, and work to help them see and feel Christ's love for them!
St. Mark's 2007-2008 enrollment is 159 students in Preschool (3 year olds), Kindergarten (full day and half day. sessions), and Grades 1-8.
We have twelve education classrooms, a resource room, a full-sized gym, kitchen and offices/workrooms.  Our Media Center holds our Library and 20 networked IBM compatible computers and an LCD projector, scanner and printer/copiers.
Grades 5-8 are departmentalized as follows:  English/Literature, Math, Science, Music, Art, Christian Issues and Social studies.  We have Extended Care on a daily basis both before and after school.  Our athletic program offers volleyball, basketball and cross country.  Parents get involved in our PTLS and as Athletic Boosters.

PTLS
Greetings from St. Mark’s Parents and Teachers in Lutheran Schools (PTLS):   This organization’s purpose is primarily one of nurture, fellowship, and service in hopes of developing a closer relationship between the home and school.  The PTLS officers seek to find coordinators for special activities throughout the school year, such as for fundraisers, fellowship events, room mothers/ bake sales, finding speakers for parent/teacher learning workshops, and hosting a community service project which has recently included a health fair.  The importance of a Christian family unit is affirmed in all activities provided.

Accreditation:
St. Mark's Lutheran School is accredited nationally through the National Lutheran School Accreditation program.  St. Mark's Lutheran School is also accredited through the Missouri Chapter of the National Federation of Non-Public School State Accrediting Associations.  St. Mark's was re-accredited in May 2005.
